Customer & challenge
Tapco, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of pool and hot tub/spa and Whirlpool Bath equipment for the USA and international markets. The overall business process in the company from design up to end-product delivery to consumers involves participation of many people.
To streamline resource and tasks management across company departments, Tapco opted for a custom ERP software development.Developed by another IT vendor as a web application, the system eventually failed to meet customer’s expectations. The customer’s concern was to speed up the roll-out of the perfected version to end-users as many critical operations already run through ERP.
We started the project with the analysis of the customer’s requirements and everyday activities in the company, which consequently detailed in the functional specification. After the system was deployed on our and customer’s servers, we proceeded with the improvement of the overall functionality and the development of custom warehouse management software modules, such as: Purchase, Engineering, Shipping and Sales. The modules were developed and tested one by one to ensure their faultless support of company workflows and logical interaction with the entire ERP system. Upon the customer’s request, we also developed a custom mobile application Inventory Management for the warehouse staff.
